Jobdescription

The scripting / sequencing is done in the WPIM team (Workplace Implementation), and is in charge of the streaming of the applications to thin client environment under Citrix. Development of automated application streams. Analysis of issues related to the deployment. Documentation of the delivered streams.

The knowledge list below is not exhaustive. Making applications work in such a complex environment as ours requires a thorough knowledge of modern IT environments:

  • Microsoft Server 2003 OS
  • Windows XP
  • APP-V sequencing
  • XenApp & Appsense suite
  • The conversion from MSI to APP-V is an asset
  • WBEM - Windows Management Instrumentation
  • Windows security system (ACLs)
  • Active Directory & GPOs
  • Registry functionality

 

Network

  • Principles of TCP/IP based networks: DHCP & DNS, switching & routing, IP protocols, IP tools of troubleshooting, ...
